If I purchase an airline ticket through your website, what did I get as proof of that purchase?

Once I purchase a ticket from tripus.online, we can I expect to receive it?

e-Tickets will be e-mailed within one or two business days. In case you do not receive the e-ticket due to any reason, you will be contacted and a paper ticket will be shipped to you through FedEx.

How do I book an airline ticket using Chrapfaremart?

Consolidator Airline Tickets are discounted airfares that most major Airlines sell to help fill up their seats. These tickets are usually cheaper than the lowest published fare available directly from the airline company. tripus.online has way over 2,000,000 consolidator fares from approximately 60 airlines.

Instead of the airline name, i can see written as “Major Airline,” what does it mean?

Some major airlines do not permit online reservation. You may book your flight ticket with such airlines over the phone only. We have referred such carrier as “Major Airline” on the result pages.

How early should I book my flight ticket with tripus.online?

We do not accept bookings for travel within 3 business days of your departure through the Internet in order to ensure delivery of your tickets prior to your departure.

Cancellation and Refund

How can I book a last minute flight with tripus.online?

Please make bookings by calling on the helpline number in case of last minute flights. Your reservation cannot be changed without large penalties. The cost of which depends on the airline. International consolidator tickets are not refundable. On the first scheduled day of your travel, your tickets are completely non-refundable and usually cannot be changed. All changes in the schedule must be made before the original date of departure.

Can I select a seat of my choice while booking?

Yes, provided the airline you opt for permits it doing so in advance. The confirmation regarding seat selection will be made once the transaction completes. The availability of a selected seat might change during the process of flight booking. The seat you selected at the beginning might become unavailable at the time of transaction. The seat gets assigned to a customer who completes the purchase earlier.

If seats are unavailable on the displayed seat map, you can obtain a seat assignment upon check-in.

Airlines reserve the right to change your pre-seat assignment to accommodate a passenger (s) with disability. Bulkhead seats are subject to reassignment. We appreciate your cooperation in these unusual circumstances.

Can I change my travel date?

This depends on the fare conditions for the ticket purchased and the availability of the ticket with your airline on the date you want to depart from.

Can the name on the tickets be changed/corrected?

This depends on the fare conditions. In Basic Economy Fare, for example with American Airlines, it’s not allowed. Call us at least before 24-hour of the departure and provide valid supporting documents.

Cancel or Refund Policy

can I get a refund for my ticket?

This depends on the fare conditions for the ticket purchased. Within 24-hour period of the ticket purchase, you may seek a full refund. After that, the refund is processed after the deduction of airline penalty. However, basic economy tickets with low-cost and ultra-low-cost carriers like Spirit, Southwest and Frontier Airlines with departure within 7 days of the ticket purchase are non-refundable from the time of purchase. However, a credit is issued to you (as per airline’s policy), which you may redeem within one year from the date of cancellation of the original ticket. Airlines may apply a ticket change fee at the time of booking of the new ticket. The difference in fare is payable.

How long shall I wait to get the refund created to my account?

The refund is usually processed within 7 business days of receipt of the required refund information. The credit card refund may take up to two billing cycles before appearing on a credit card statement. You may contact your airline or card issuer to check the credit status.

My flight has been cancelled by airlines, when can I expect the refund?

If your flight got cancelled by the airline you booked with, we may help you take an alternate flight with the same carrier after taking your consent. However, if that time doesn’t suite your travel requirements, you can claim for a full refund.

What is the Price Match satisfaction?

Price Match Satisfaction is a policy from tripus.online safeguarding the interest of its customers. If within 24 hours of the purchase of any airline ticket from us, you happen to find the same travel itinerary or flight with any major online travel agency in the US at a lower price, we will refund the difference. Or you have the option to seek a full refund.

To apply for Visa, how long must my passport be valid?

To get a visa, most countries require that your passport be valid for at least 6 months past your scheduled return to the U.S. If you are applying for a multiple entry visa, and the expiry date of your passport is near, you should consider renewing your passport first. Visas go invalid once your passport expires.

What is the deference between Visa validaty and duration?

Validity stands for the time before a travel document expires. Duration stands for the maximum stay permissible to a traveler as per his or her visa document. A Brazilian multiple entry visa may have a validity of five years, however, the maximum duration of stay at any one time is 90 days.

What are the fees associated with Visa and Passport processing?

How old Shall I be to apply for a passport?

As an adult, the minimum age to apply for a US passport is 16 years. Children below 16 can apply for a passport by attaching any one of the below documents expressing parental relationship:

Both parents/guardians must authorize the issuance of the child’s passport. The best way to do this is for both parents/guardians to go with the child in person to apply for the passport.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

What type of bag or baggage items are allowed in an airline for free?

A hand baggage and items like a camera bag, a briefcase, an overcoat, a wrap or a blanket, an umbrella or a walking stick, are generally allowed for free. Dimension of the hand baggage is limited. However, the carry-on might be restricted with Basic Economy Fare. Contact your airlines to have the updated information.

How much baggage fees do the airlines charge?

You need to pay a baggage fee as per the airlines. Baggage fees range from $15 up to $200 or more depending on the size and weight of the bag and is per checked bag. Contact the airline to know about the baggage policy and fees.

Can I carry a bicycle or windsurfing boards on my flight?

Airlines may also accept luggage of non-customary shapes and sizes including sports equipment, musical instruments, animal bag, baggage for children (stroller/pushchair), instruments supporting mobility, etc., on flights on condition that it is able to fit properly in the aircraft hold. Shipment of items can be free or chargeable. Contact your airlines to know more.

What if my baggage is lost or damaged in the flight?

For lost or damaged baggage, your airline will provide a reimbursement as per its policy. Certain items (e.g., cash, jewelry, cameras) are excluded from liability for lost or damaged checked baggage. Take note of the limitations and exclusions linked with the baggage policy of the airlines. You need to notify of the lost or damage to the customer care of the airlines and cooperate with them.

Flying during Pregnancy

Is fliying during pregnancy safe?

The best time to fly is in the middle of pregnancy, roughly between the 14th and 28th weeks, which is also when you are feeling best. While booking a return ticket, don’t miss out on calculating what stage of pregnancy you will be at on your return.

Do I need to carry any medical certificate?

If you are traveling after the 37th week of pregnancy, you need a certificate from your doctor or gynecologist confirming you to be fit for traveling by plane. Up to the 37th week of pregnancy you can travel without any special certificates, although it is still a good idea to consult your doctor. You should also inform your airlines at the time of flight reservation.

Will the radiation of the airport screening machine harm my baby in any way?

No. For passenger screening at airports, generally two types of scanners are deployed as discussed below and none of them have any adverse impact on a pregnant woman or her unborn baby.

First, radio-frequency scanner that does not use ionizing radiation, so neither you nor your unborn child would be exposed to any radiation that is hazardous.

Second, “full-body” x-ray scanner that uses very low-energy and low-intensity radiation, so that the unborn child is not exposed to any radiation that could possibly increase the developmental risks of radiation to the embryo.

The energy of the x-ray beam is so low that it does not penetrate the skin and just makes a picture of the outline of your external torso. Your internal organs receive almost no dose.

Can I bring my water and snacks through the checkpoint?

If you can spread it, smear it, spray it, pump it, pour it….then it will have to follow the 3-1-1 liquids rule. But snack foods, such as fruit slices and granola, are A-Okay!

Unaccompanied Minor

Can my child (below 18) board a flight and fly without me or parent?

It depends on the airline’s policy. Some airlines like American Airlines allow children between 5 and 7 years to board and fly alone with a nonstop flight. AA permits children in the age group 8-14 years to take any nonstop or direct flight, or any connecting flight through Charlotte, NC (CLT), Washington Reagan, D.C. (DCA), Dallas Forth Worth, TX (DFW), New York, NY (JFK and LGA), Los Angeles, CA (LAX), Miami, FL (MIA), Chicago, IL (ORD), Philadelphia, PA (PHL) and Phoenix, AZ (PHX).

Those in the 15-17 age group don’t have to use the unaccompanied minor service, but it’s still available to them. When traveling alone, children 16 years of age and older can book online, to book children 15 years of age.

Unaccompanied minors are often restricted on a code-shared flight. The rules regarding unaccompanied minor vary from airline to airline. Our agents can guide you over the phone +1(866) 860-5818 regarding the same.

How much is the unaccompanied minor fee?

Unaccompanied minor charges might be levied at the time of flight reservation. The unaccompanied minor service fee is $150 (plus tax) each way with American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta. Frontier, JetBlue and Spirit charge $100 each way; Alaska has the cheapest unaccompanied-minor fee, charging $25 each way for nonstop or direct flights, and $50 for connecting flights. These fees may change based on an airline’s policy. We advise you to check with your airlines to know the updated information.

What document apart from passport/visa is required for unaccompanied minor?

Anyone under 18 traveling internationally without both parents may be required to present a Letter of Consent. Also, bring your child at airport with age of proof. For more details, check with the airlines before confirming the flight ticket for your child.

Restricted or Hazardous Materials

What items can I carry in the flght?

Unsafe items or anything that can trigger any risk is restricted. Know what you can pack in your carry-on and checked baggage before arriving at the airport by reviewing the advisory given by the Transportation Security Administration website.

What items I cannot bring to the US while returning from my holiday or trip?

There are some items that you cannot bring into the United States, or that you can bring in only under certain conditions. Here is an illustrative list:

General Screening

What is the policy on poeders? Are the allowed?

In checked in baggage they are allowed, but in carry-on baggage there are some restrictions. A carryon baggage with powders greater than 350mL or 12 oz has to go through an additional screening at the central checkpoint. Powder-like substances over 12 oz. or 350mL in carry-on that cannot be resolved at the central checkpoint will not be allowed onto the cabin of the aircraft and will be disposed of.

Can I film and take photos at security checkpoint?

Yes. Photographing, videotaping or filming at security checkpoints is not restricted unless it interfere with the screening or is suspected to breach any sensitive information.

Can I take my pet through the security checkpoints?

Yes. You have to take out your pet from the carrying case and place the case through the X-ray machine. Keep control of your pet with a leash and remember to remove the leash when carrying your pet through the metal detector. Animal carriers will undergo a visual and/or physical inspection. Reach out to your airline to know particular’s about the pet transportation to ensure uninterrupted screening.

How early should I aarive to the airport prior to my flights deprture?

Contact your airline as times may vary depending on the airport and date of travel. In general, please have enough time for parking/shuttle transportation, airline check-in, obtaining a boarding pass and going through the security screening process, which includes screening of your carry-on bag. I forgat my Identification; can I still proceed through security screening?

In the event you arrive at the airport without proper ID, because it is lost or at home, you may still be allowed to fly. By providing additional information, TSA has other ways to confirm your identity, like using publicly available databases, so you may board your flight. If your identity cannot be verified, you will not be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint.

Is imaging technology safe?

Advanced imaging technology is safe and meets national health and safety standards. In fact, the energy emitted by millimeter wave technology is 1000 times less than the international limits and guidelines.

Does my privacy stay intact during screening?

TSA has enforced strong measures to protect passenger privacy while screening. The software that captures your body only detects any metallic and non-metallic threats concealed under clothing and displays a generic outline of a passenger on the monitor attached. The display screen marks an “OK” against the image outline if it doesn’t find any threatening or risky items.

Most of the major airlines like UA have limit as follows: Checked in bag size is 22 inches by 14 inches and for personal item/carry-on bag, the prescribed dimension is 17 inches by 10 inches by 9 inches.

Disability Assistance

Can a person with a disability ask for special assistance in the airport premises?

Yes. The traveler shall identify with the airline as a person with a disability. The person shall specify whether they need wheelchair assistance or guided assistance. Travelers shall reach the airport in advance and must inform the airport staff of the type of disability or assistance they need. In case of guided assistance, airline staff escort a person with a disability from their entrance terminal or ground drop-off point to the security checkpoint, and departure gate and finally make the person board the flight. Likewise, at the arrival airport, the airline staff assist the person at the baggage claim area and vehicle pick-up location.
